Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper supports the mission of the school by maintaining safe, clean, and well-kept campus grounds. This role contributes to a welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors through consistent care of landscaping and outdoor spaces.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Maintain lawns, landscaping, and outdoor spaces through mowing, trimming, raking, and seasonal care
• Prepare and upkeep athletic fields for practices and events
• Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and other greenery
• Apply fertilizers and treatments in accordance with safety guidelines
• Assist with snow and ice removal to ensure safe campus access
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on grounds equipment and irrigation systems
• Track basic maintenance and work orders as needed
• Support campus operations with additional duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools
• Working knowledge of groundskeeping practices, including safe use of herbicides and related chemicals
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Dependable with the ability to work independently and follow direction
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior groundskeeping or landscaping experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical labor including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
