Landscape Architect

We are a growing South Jersey landscaping and drainage company seeking a Landscape Architect or experienced Landscape Designer to assist with residential outdoor projects. This is a contract, project-based role focused on site planning, drainage design input, and landscape layouts for patios, grading, and full property transformations.

You will work directly with project leads to develop practical, buildable designs that address real-world site conditions including drainage, grading, and outdoor living spaces.

Responsibilities

• Create landscape design plans for residential properties
• Assist with drainage layout concepts (French drains, drywells, grading)
• Develop patio, walkway, and hardscape layouts
• Evaluate site conditions including slope, soil, and water flow
• Provide material recommendations and design direction
• Collaborate with installation crews to ensure buildable designs

Requirements

• Experience in landscape design or landscape architecture
• Knowledge of grading and drainage concepts
• Ability to create clear, buildable designs
• Familiarity with South Jersey soil and property conditions preferred
• Experience with patios, hardscaping, and outdoor layouts
• Ability to work on a per-project basis
