Down To Earth Gardens & Nursery is looking for an experienced Horticulture Extraordinaire to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll work in our retail nursery, perform landscape maintenance, and assist with landscape installation projects.

We're looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in our retail nursery with plant selection and plant care advice.
• Perform landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and general garden care.
• Assist with landscape installation and construction projects.
• Maintain healthy, well-presented nursery stock and work areas.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Work collaboratively with the team to complete projects to a high standard.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on horticulture or landscaping experience, OR
• Formal education or training in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field, combined with relevant practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, and plant care.
• A genuine passion for plants and horticulture.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
