Compensation: $22 to $25 Annually

Position Summary: A Landscape Maintenance Foreman, is a working team member that oversees seasonal clean-ups, mulching, edging, trimming, landscape maintenance, pruning, fertilization, weed control, planting of trees and shrubs, flower installation, leaf clean-ups, and similar tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising, training, and motivating the work of a 2 to 3-member team to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency

• Mulching, weeding, edging, and fertilizing garden beds

• Pruning or shearing small trees, hedges, and shrubs

• Planting shrubs, flowers, and trees with proper horticulture guidelines

• Well-versed in the life cycles and health issues of plants, trees, and shrubs while monitoring and maintaining plant care.

• Clean grounds (e.g., dispose of leaves and debris, dispose of waste appropriately, lay gravel and mulch).

• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment and contribute to its upkeep, maintenance, and storage.

• Perform snow and ice removal on commercial and residential properties (remove snow by shovel or plow, spread salt/chemicals to clean sidewalks and parking lots).

• Perform general and routine building maintenance duties as assigned.

• Coordinating with Production Manager on daily/weekly schedule, material/equipment needs, and budget hours

Experience/Requirements:

• A high-school diploma or equivalent is a requirement for the Landscape Maintenance Foreperson position.

• Three or more years of experience working in landscaping, including experience overseeing workers.

• Fluent in Spanish and English preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Good physical condition and stamina.

• Move and handle material generally weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Working outside with regular exposure to varying weather conditions ranging from below zero temperatures to 100 plus temperatures.

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
